Book Review Policy

I’m a lifelong voracious reader and love to share reviews of the books I enjoy. Knowledge sharing in general is a good thing.

What I do is recommend books that I find particularly good. I try to be honest without being overly critical.

As a novelist, reviewer, and screenwriter, I do a lot of reading, some of it directly job-related. So, I have to pick and choose what I review.

I also receive numerous books from authors, publicists, and publishers. In addition, I request them from Netgalley and authors. I do not guarantee a review on my blog in exchange for books. A book is accepted with the understanding that I may review it for the blog. No other compensation is received.

When submitting a book review request, please include the following:
a.) Book Title & Description
b.) Release Date
c.) Sample chapter (I will not read books without first sampling if the writing style is a fit for me)
d.) A link to NetGalley is preferable, but not required.

I’m grateful to all the publishers, publicists, and authors who send me books. Thank you. Reviews will appear on my blog if I’ve had a chance to read, and finish, the book. If I do not finish a book, I won’t review it, and I will not respond to emails asking when, or if, I’ll be reviewing a book.

Oh, that’s another thing. I don’t have a handy staff of reviewers, paid or unpaid. Right now, it’s just me.
