In anticipation of his upcoming appearance on the Crime Cafe podcast, my next guest Dana Haynes has provided a guest post and book giveaway.

Dana is giving away a copy of his soon-to-be released novel Sirocco. He’s doing the giveaway from his website. But I’ll let him fill you in on that.

Along with being a crime writer, Dana is a journalist and has written screenplays. I’m looking forward to discussing these topics and more during our interview.

In any case, let’s hear from Dana himself! 🙂

We’re getting closer to the debut of Sirocco, the sequel to St. Nicholas Salvage & Wrecking!

The book hits the stands in January, 2021.

The pandemic has changed all the rules —thank the gods, Katy King and I live in Portland, Oregon, where most everyone treats the whole thing about masks and social distancing without a lot of drama — so I’m not likely to do the usual book signings in bookstores, as I have in past. Never say “never,” but we’ll see how it goes.

I am doing a giveaway of the new book at the danahaynesmystery.com website.

I’m also appearing on the Crime Cafe podcast with New York Times bestselling author Debbi Mack! (debbimack.com). She’s the author of the Sam McRae mystery series, as well as a thriller, a Y.A. novel and several short stories.

Like me, she’s a member of Sisters in Crime. Like me, she’s adapted her novels into screenplays. (Unlike me, hers has been optioned to be made into a film! So … jealous….) We’ll be talking about the new book, the series, and the international travel I’ve done for research.

About Sirocco:
A serial bomber is wreaking havoc throughout Europe. Former New York City cop Michael Finnigan and former Spanish assassin Katalin Fiero Dahar — the brains behind St. Nicholas Salvage & Wrecking — may be the only ones who can stop the carnage. The partners have a reputation for tracking down the worst of the worst in international crime, all while staying firmly under the radar. But as they draw ever closer to the bombers, and as the terrorism sweeps up Katalin’s own family, Finnigan and Fiero have to decide if they can continue to operate in the shadows. As the partners learn who they can — and can’t — trust, they come face-to-face with shocking secrets at the highest echelons of the world’s intelligence communities.
