When I look back on my life and realize I almost became a musician, it gives me pause. When I was much younger, I had this crazy dream of forming an all-girl version of The Who.
This was back in the days when all-girl groups didn’t play hard rock and roll. I could play guitar then and piano. But I decided at some point that I just couldn’t imagine making a living as a musician.
For one thing, I didn’t have a rock star temperament. In fact, I have no desire to be famous whatsoever.
All I want to do is write and (possibly) be a filmmaker. And be paid for my efforts.
Is that such a crazy thing?
So, anyhow … while I’m on the subject, I thought I’d mention that a distant cousin of Keith Moon lives just a few houses away from us. Small world, isn’t it? 🙂
I would love to meet this guy someday and tell him how much of an inspiration Keith Moon was to me. Not to mention the rest of the band.
On that note, I’d like to thank Paul Downie for this awesome video! 🙂
PS: Quite a contrast, isn’t it? 🙂
Think that’s funny? This one’s a stitch! 🙂
PPS: Here’s an interesting article that only freaked me out slightly.
And the good news is that my novel, IDENTITY CRISIS, will be released by WildBlue Press on Aug. 28!
Here’s where you can find it on their website. Click there to see the big announcement! 🙂
