So the first thing I should mention is that I’m starting a crime fiction crowdfunding campaign. This is to raise the relatively minor, but not insignificant, costs of editing, formatting, and creating covers for two e-publications: the Crime Cafe boxed set (of nine, at last count, novels) and the Crime Cafe short story anthology.
I have several goals that make me excited about this project. First, these works are based on stories contributed by crime fiction authors who participated in Season One of the Crime Cafe Podcast. As such, they will include transcriptions of the interviews with those authors. Thus, in publishing these works, it’s my hope that more people will learn about the podcast, as well as each of the authors.
But that’s not all …
For those of you who may have never heard of these authors (and frankly, I think everyone should know them), this crowdfunding campaign will not only support the publication of their work, but share with you — the supporters — the best tidbits from the interviews. Not to mention the perks you’ll get from contributing.
Can I interest you, for instance, in one of these?
