I’ve been gone for a while, but have been running excerpts from my young adult novel. I hope you’ve enjoyed them.
However, I’m back now from an amazing conference in Hollywood that I attended thanks to Sisters in Crime. Here are a few photos from the conference.
A slightly blurry photo of Megan Abbott talking about books and movies.
One of the Saturday panels, in which Janet Scott Batchler, Drew Greenberg, Hart Hanson, and Michele Mulroney (moderated by the awesome Lisa Seidman) explained how film and TV writers adapt novels into scripts.
Is it somewhat ironic that having adapted all of one book (my own first novel) into a screenplay, I will be discussing this very subject on a panel at the Books Alive Conference at the end of this month? Quite possibly. 🙂
Judging from the appearance, I believe this is the Let’s Make a Deal panel, with attorney Jonathan Kirsch, Stephen Moore, Amy Schiffman, and Sharon Smiley (moderated by Georgia Jeffries). Or possibly not.
Ran out of conference photos, but thought this was awesome! 🙂
Hooray for Hollywood, huh?
So … apart from the conference, what did I do? Here are a few more photos.
Finally, here’s a video I put up on another blog I have somewhere or other! 🙂
