When I began blogging, I wrote a lot about what it was like to be a writer—the whole, horrible truth (with a dash of humor). I also blogged book reviews regularly on another now-dead blog. This eventually opened the door to the opportunity to write crime fiction reviews for Mystery Scene Magazine. With that side gig, along with my own blogging efforts, I became quite familiar with some of the best crime fiction being published.
One thing I’ve always believed is that when we help others in their pursuits, that kindness will be returned, in some way or another. For that reason, even before I self-published my books, I was blogging those book reviews.
So, when I decided to start a podcast, it was with crime, suspense, and thriller readers in mind. What better way to introduce a whole lot of new authors to readers hungry for good books?
There is a catch, of course. It takes money, time, and resources to deliver a high-quality podcast to listeners. Plus, I came up with yet another bright idea along the way. Why not put together a boxed set and an anthology consisting of stories told by the authors on the show?

In any case, I’ve now launched a Patreon page for supporters. With help from readers who love the genre as we do, the podcast can continue to grow and improve.
Your support won’t go unappreciated, either. At the minimum level of $5 per month, you get access to the vast majority of our free content. At $10 per month, you get all the free content mentioned plus a free copy of The Crime Cafe 9 Book Set. The free books, short stories, and other content will increase over time and always be there for you.
Think of it as being like the Netflix of crime reading! 🙂 Just click here or on the banner below to check out the deets! 🙂
I’d like to emphasize that we are in no way, shape, or form associated with or endorsed by Netflix the streaming service. It’s just an analogy, okay? 🙂
