This past weekend, as I’ve mentioned elsewhere, I attended the Creatures, Crimes & Creativity Conference (aka, C3), which takes place in Columbia, MD, every year.
I spent a lot of time reconnecting with people I haven’t seen a while, and making new connections, which is awesome.
I managed to sell two books! That, in my opinion, is a win. An all-around win. Meeting old friends, making new ones, and selling books makes me happy!

My signing table.
And here are more scenes from the conference.

Dana King signs a book, while Bill Rapp lurks in the background.

Wow! We look so … enhanced. 🙂 Cartoonish, even.
On Saturday, I attended a panel on Fantasy vs. Magical Realism. There was also a panel on short fiction. Then lunch.
After which, I had to take a break to attend an online workshop on comedy writing. Yes, amidst the panels, signings, and so on, I had yet another Zoom session to attend. I managed to squeeze that in before the big book signing.

My name’s on here somewhere. Guess I’m one of the “huge authors.” 🙂
And speaking of huge authors … in terms of career and influence.

Lee Goldberg and Reed Farrel Coleman posed for the camera. Two awesome guys!
And, of course, there was dinner.

Food, glorious food! Why does it look radioactive? I assume the lighting gave the dinner roll that weird green tint.
I even showed up for the Sunday sessions!

The adaptation panel.

Teel James Glenn and Carol Gyzander on writing fight scenes.
If you’re wondering why every photo has that weird green tint, I think it has something to do with compressing these photos. Tricky, tricky stuff. 🙂
PS: Met this person at a book signing. 🙂
