It’s an awesome book, period. Charlie Fox, as you may or may not know, is in basically the close protection business or the business of being a bodyguard, and she gets summarily fired at the very beginning of the book and is seeking ways to find work in the U.S. because she wants to stay in the U.S. and not get deported. Why she wants to stay here, I don’t know. Maybe to avoid Brexit? Small political joke. Sorry
not sorry. 🙂
Anyway, she makes no mention of that in the book. In any event, Charlie gets involved with protecting the wife of somebody who she’s supposed to be investigating from the inside. And the twists and turns are great. The story is fast-moving, fast-paced, but what really draws me to this series every time is Charlie Fox herself. She is the most awesome female protagonist out there. Bar none, I think. And, honest to God, anybody who likes action and thrillers and strong female protagonists should read this. Or if you just like action and thrillers, read this. It’s an excellent, excellent book, and it’s an excellent series by a great author. I mean that.
She was on the Crime Cafe, by the way, if you ever want to check through the back episodes and look for her name, Zoe Sharp. Or you could just click here! 🙂 Or here for the video! [How ’bout that for marketing/backlinking/SEO/whatever, eh? :)] And it’s the Charlie Fox series. And I give it five stars. Highly recommend it. By the way. I read it on my Kindle, which is now officially dead. I just managed to get it in. But that’s okay. I have one of these.
It’s a Kobo. All right. Talk to you later!
