Hi, today. I’m reviewing Horror Movie. Yeah, Horror Movie. Complete with the VHS tape there on the cover. I think that’s a VHS tape, right? Anyway. Wow. I’m trying to figure out how to describe my feelings about this book. I liked it, but at the same time I was like, oh my God. Just so many “Oh my God” moments. I mean, the title Horror Movie should give me a clue, right? But it’s like I’ve never been into this kind of horror movie. That’s the funny part. And yet I found myself unable to stop reading. Yeah, that’s the kind of book it is. So it did not give me nightmares or anything, but certainly there were parts where I just went, oh my God, no. Why?
It’s that kind of book. I dunno, what can I say? I did like it a lot. Oh, also, if anybody wants to adapt this into a screenplay, half the screenplay is written, or I don’t know. It’s a mix of narrative style writing and fiction writing and screenplay, which is in the format that Dave Trottier would totally not approve of. But that doesn’t matter because it’s a novel, right?
It’s a novel with a kind of a screenplayish thing going on every now and then, which isn’t really a screenplay and the production costs. Well anyway, I don’t want to talk about that stuff. I’m slipping into talking about screenwriting stuff somehow, because this book is part screenplay, bad screenplay, but I mean, you know, in terms of format, good screenplay in terms of reading, I enjoyed reading it. It certainly pulled me into the book.
So there’s a pitch for it right there. You got half the horror script, half the screenplay is already written. Adapted. Yeah. So anyway, I would never go see this movie, by the way. It would just be too much for me to take. I’m a wimp. No question about it. Alright then. Having said that, enjoyed the book. Horror Movie by Paul Tremblay. I’ll be seeing you talk to you later.
I forgot to mention, sorry about not having a video last week. Life got in the way, et cetera, et cetera. And over the weekend I took part in a six-day film challenge. It was a six-day make a short film a day challenge, and I was involved in that. So maybe what I’ll do is put them up on this channel as well. I don’t know. I put them up on another one of my channels. I could just connect you to that channel. I don’t know. Whenever I do, I will do it and you’ll see it. Right? Right. Be seeing you.

You can buy it in digital format from your choice of retailer.
Or buy it in print through my online bookstore and support indie bookstores.
PS: Here’s my July update! With the first three one-minute films. 🙂
