Hi! Today I’m reviewing The Question of the Felonious Friend. I love that name. And it’s another in the “Question Of” series (officially, the Asperger’s Mysteries) by E. J. Copperman and Jeff Cohen, who are in fact one and the same person, which is a very interesting and funny thing itself, but let’s not go there. Let’s talk about the book.

Yeah. It’s a funny, funny book. The Asperger’s mysteries are all uniformly wonderful. And one of the things about this book that I love is the relationship between Samuel Hoenig—I don’t know if I’m pronouncing it right—Hoenig who operates the Questions Answered business that he owns. I don’t know what’s more wonderful, whether it’s his response as a person with Asperger’s to everybody and the inadvertent funniness of those responses or his relationship with Ms. Washburn who has become his assistant after all these years.

Well, this is the third book. I mean, she started off in the first book, you know, brand new and now she’s very friendly with Samuel and well, it’s an interesting relationship they’re developing, let’s put it that way. And then there’s his mother who’s also very interesting, and I like her a lot as a character. She’s strong without being overbearing. I like that. So that’s wonderful stuff. And it’s just flat-out so funny. Just the conversations and Samuel himself, and he’s the kind of character you cheer for all the way because you can see the rightness of what he’s saying, even if he says it all in the wrong way, if you get my drift.

So I will just leave you with this question. What’s your favorite Beatles song? That’s one of Samuel’s questions that he asks nearly everybody. Almost everybody. Not quite everybody, but I thought it was an interesting question to ask people. I don’t think I have a favorite Beatles song. I liked so many of them, but I’ll just pick one: “Strawberry Fields Forever”. Either that, or that one … “Penny Lane”. Or maybe “Helter Skelter” or maybe … nah, nah, those are … nope, no, there’s another one. I can’t think of it. Well, it doesn’t matter. My favorite Beatles song is one of those. And with that, I’ll talk to you later.

PS: Turns out not all millennials don’t know who the Beatles are! 🙂 And I’m a BIG fan of many of these! “Hey Bulldog”! 🙂

I highly recommend you get a copy of The Question of the Felonious Friend in the format of your choice, including audiobook! 🙂
