Hi there! 🙂
First, I want to thank everyone who’s left a review for Damaged Goods online. It is so gratifying to know that you’ve enjoyed the the story enough to share that opinion with others.
Second—and this is a tough subject to bring up—finances. Right now, the bottom line is things are tough for everyone. So, among other things, I’ve reduced the price on all my novels to $2.99. That price is in effect until the end of Labor Day (or Labour Day, as you wish 🙂 ).
The podcast is still The Crime Cafe–which is scheduled to start on Wednesday on YouTube, followed by the audio podcast next Sunday. The Patreon pages encompass more of what I do, including writing, reviewing, and even short or serialized videos.
I’m also proceeding with plans to set up an online readers’ group off Facebook. Part of that would involve setting up a subscription service. One that provides different types of content on both a free and paid basis. I’m still planning that, but I’m seriously involved in developing the content. And I can assure you that if I charge for content, I’ll do my best to make it worth your while.
What I’m hoping to do by setting this up is create, not only a subscription service, but an online gathering area that isn’t Facebook. The platform that provides this is called Substack. I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of it—I only learned of it recently, myself—but it seems like it takes the good parts of Patreon and combines them with community building tools. Facebook is basically a community building platform. So Substack gives you both features in one place. And I don’t sell anyone’s personal data. Never have, never will. And it’s ad-free. Okay, I’ll stop with that. 🙂
Anyway, now you have a sense of what’s coming up from me. I hope I can count on your support, even if that support is to share what I’m doing with anyone who might be interested and able.
PS: Here’s what I’m talking about! 🙂 Loving these reviews for Damaged Goods! Thank you, again!
And that’s not counting the ones on Kobo, Barnes & Noble, Apple, or Smashwords. You do remember Smashwords, right? 🙂
Speaking of Smashwords, all my books there will be discounted from July 1 to 31, 2020! That starts in July, so set a reminder on your calendar or AI-alert system or maybe just remember? 🙂
Thanks again! If you’d like to take a look at the first few ramblings some of what I offer through Substack for free, check it out here!
